Menstruation Problems

A woman’s normal period duration is four to seven days and she usually has it after every 28 days, but sometimes it can last up to 21 to 35 days. In contrast, an abnormal menstrual cycle period can lessen than 21 days or can be longer than seven days in length. Vomiting, cramping and nausea are the main symptoms.

Causes of abnormal menstruation:

Birth control pills: These medicines usually contains a combination of the hormones estrogen and progestin. These pills prevent to keep the ovaries restrain from releasing an egg which can affect in menstruation cycle.

Uterine Polyps: These polyps consist of small growth of noncancerous material in the lining of the uterus, and uterine fibrous are the tumors that attach to the uterus wall. The size of these tumors can vary from apple seed to grapefruit. They can cause heavy bleeding.

Endometriosis: Endometriosis is a tissue in the lining of the uterus that breaks down every month and starts discharging with the menstrual flow. It happens when the endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. Sometimes these issues are attached to the ovaries of fallopian tubes.

Pelvic Inflammatory disease  (PID): It is a bacterial infection that affects the women’s reproductive system. The bacteria enter through the vagina via sexual contact and then spread to the uterus, which causes a heavy viginal discharge with an unpleasant odor.

Treatments:

The treatments for the menstrual cycle do vary from person to person and depend on the underlying causes:

Pain Control: Pains or cramps during menstruation can be lesson through pain relievers such as Ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Somehow Aspirin is not recommended because it might cause heavier bleeding. A hot shower and heating pad might help to relieve pain.

Uterine fibroids: Uterine fibroids can be treated surgically. In mild pain, over-the-counter pain relievers are recommended. If a women experience heavy bleeding, iron supplements might help treat anaemia. Hysterectomy, Uterine artery embolization are other methods of treating the tumor.

There are many other procedural options that can help in normal menstruation. As menstruation causes infertility in women, it is necessary to treat it.

Infertility Treatment:

It is necessary to have a diagnosis if a couple is not getting parents. But before infertility testing, your doctor may ask about sexual intercourse and recommend improving it, if he finds something unusual. Some medical plans may not cover the cost of fertility treatment. Well, there is no guarantee even after testing and counseling to get pregnant a woman, somehow Infertility treatment can increase the chances.

As the causes of infertility are different same as doctors recommend different procedures for each person or couple. Medicine, surgical procedure, and assisted conception are the main infertility treatments. The doctor determines infertility through the patient sexual history, medications, and sex habits. Man and women have to go through different physical exams including a pelvic exam, blood, and hormonal tests.

Treatments.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF):

In Vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments are recommended when an egg is fertilized outside the body, medicines will be taken to encourage the ovaries to produce more eggs than usual. Eggs are then removed from the ovaries and fertilized in the laboratory. After it, an embryo is returned to the womb to grow and develop.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI):

Intrauterine insemination is also known as artificial insemination. It is a procedure in which a sperm is first collected and washed in a fluid. The best quality specimens will be selected and inserted into the womb of women through a thin plastic tube in a cervix. The goal of this treatment is to improve the chances of fertilization by increasing the number of healthy sperm that reach the fallopian tubes when the woman is most fertile.

Ovulation Induction (OI):

It is one of the fertility treatments which uses OI medication to stimulate the follicles in the ovaries to produce healthy eggs at once. Ultrasound and blood tests will be taken to monitor the development of follicles in order to determine the right time for egg retrieval. It is the initial stage of the IUI procedure whose main purpose is to maintain good quality follicles.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI):

A new study has revealed that ICSI boasts a pregnancy success rate of 24%. It is an effective treatment for men with infertility in which a tiny needle-like micropipette is used to inject a single sperm into the center of the egg. If eggs are not fertilized by the traditional IVF method ICSI procedure will be used. Doctors recommend it when sperm has a problem in attaching to the egg, sperm do not move in a normal fashion, blockage in the male reproductive tract, etc.

Normal delivery:

Every lady wants less pain during infant delivery case therefore doctors recommend them to take Normal Delivery. Normal delivery generally refers to delivery at a gestational age of 37-42 weeks, as determined by the last menstrual period or via ultrasonographic dating and evaluation. Approximately 11% of singleton pregnancies are delivered preterm and 10% of all deliveries are post-term. Thus, there are nearly 80% of newborns are delivered at full term whereas 3-5% of deliveries occur on the estimated date.

  • First feeding after a normal delivery is beneficial for both the mother and child. Early feeding stimulates breast milk production.
  • It has been seen that a women’s normal delivery is not complicated and she can be fine in a day or two days while who have a Cesarean are expected to stay 3-4 days. Though after a vaginal delivery women should not do any strenuous activity.

Urinal isseus(InContinence) in women:

Urinal issues are related to accidental loss of urine which often occur in women more than in men. There could be many reasons such as; pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. According to the National Association for Continence, there are almost 25 million adults experienced temporary or chronic urinary Incontinence. This issue can be occurred at any age but it is most common in more than 50 age of women.

Causes:

It seems to be particularly common in older people. It is often caused due to certain changes in the body function which may result to produce diseases. The good news is it is treatable whereas a thorough examination by the doctor can help the main cause of urinary incontinence.

Urinary tract infection: This infection normally irritates the bladder and causes a person to have a strong urge to urinate and sometimes incontinence.

Constipation: The bladder is located near the rectum and shares many of the nerves. The compacted and hard stool in the rectum causes the nerves to be overactive and increase urinary frequency.

Menopause: A women produce less estrogen after a menstruation period. The tissue lining the bladder can aggravate incontinence.

Symptoms:

  • Leakage of urine due to movements and exercise
  • Leakage of urine that prevents activities
  • Needing to rush to the restroom for losing the urine
